5 Minutes Until the Opening Bell: Eggnog Blackouts & Liquidity Landmines

Hope everybody's nursing fantastic Thanksgiving/Black Friday leftovers like I am—but not every trader's got the day off.

Late Thursday evening:  
Some hardware wizard got yanked from turkey coma, eggnog haze be damned, to sprint to the CME. Culprit: Chicago's CyrusOne data center chiller meltdown froze Globex for a record ~12 hours—the longest outage in modern history. Equities, commodities, FX, Treasuries?
 
Futures went dark starting ~8:40 PM CT, leaving silver bugs and natty gas bulls fuming as the only rallies worth chasing, suddenly hit an ice wall.
That glitch? Universe screaming "pause." But reopening on holiday-thin volume? Gapped apocalypse waiting. #Trade #TurkeyLeftovers

Thin-Volume Implosions: I'm Deadly Serious 


$GRIZZX Leuthold Grizzly Short Fund [yahoo link]  Long Time Bear Fund (I covered years ago) suddenly breaks support and  implodes; no explanation given. My take: Bear raid, with NO BID underneath... 

$GRZZX loses 75% of it's value overnight
 

Crypto Liquidity Void: Trump & Melania coins nuked 50%+ in October's flash crash [chart insert]—$800M vaporized, media ghosts. Even Cathie Wood pins it on the "liquidity squeeze" hammering AI/crypto —reversal soon, she says, but gaps first.

 



The broader market stammers like your drunk uncle going back for seconds on Eggnog    

Window dressing continues in several Mag7-8-9 socks such as $GOOG, $AAPL, $META, $NFLX, & even Oracle (recently added to the Mag7 lineup) which bounced out of the hole on Thanksgiving eve/ Wed.

The 4 Day Rally Trap   

We saw the bear trap set above 20 I covered this multiple times over the past few weeks [link] 

 Then we saw the most obvious short squeeze in months - short-covering isn't bullish. Quite the opposite
