Trying to make sense of the slaughter of innocence in Newtown

The murderer was Goth, just as the Columbine shooters; Death culture.

I believe what makes this mass murder so abhorrent is the innocence of the victims. Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these."

My initial reaction to yesterday's events was shock, and then sadness, so much so I couldn't continue working; I twittered my people "we're done trading for the day". Then I was moved to return a phone call to my mother, whom I had intentionally avoided all week, so I wouldn't have to RSVP to her Christmas dinner invite, but I think it's natural to reach out for whatever love you can find, at times like these.

I think everyone's first reaction is emotional, and the main stream media's continued saturation of graphic high definition images, feeds that emotion. The fact that they would use this event to their own political advantage, outrages me as much as the tragedy itself.  Watch as this event is used to try to push though the UN disarmament treaty - just as Bush/Cheney used 9/11 to pass the Patriot Act to take away our constitutional rights. How convenient!

The real hero's in all this are those who did what they could to protect the children, like the young teacher who instructed her students to be very quiet because the bad men were outside, while reassuring then that she loves them. Those who see this as the evil act it is, not an opportunity to be exploited for political gain, are also heroes. Those who will not be quiet in the face of popular opinion.

I have a lot of empathy for the victims, who continues to grieve in a small town on the east coast, but it only effects me to the extent I allow it to affect me.

Prayers have gone out. I've turned the channel to AMC movie classics. "High Plains Drifter" (a Clint Eastwood movie about a gunslinger who saves an entire town).

President Opaque AKA Barry Soetoro Denies Charity of Choice $5,000,000.00

Another accurate prediction; for the record:

Next Day:

Whether you like him or not, Trump knows something is rotten in Denmark! Obama isn't who he claims to be.

Why would President Obama refuse to release his college records, and his passport? It's a simple thing to do, and $5,000,000.00 is a lot of money, which would go to help countless people in need.

I'm sure Obama and his fellow Liberals would like nothing more than for Trump to be humiliated, and what better way to do it than to take $5,000,000,000.00 of his hard earned money. Whatever they're hiding must be far more valuable than money.

No doubt the truth will eventually come out, but this is how we can expect it to play out.

1. First they will attack the messenger just as Trump is already being attacked. Just as they attacked Romney, while our embassy was allowed to be over-run by terrorists.

2. Then Obama's handlers, his backers, and a majority of the Democratic party will lie for him in order to try to cover up the truth, just as you see them doing today on BenghaziGate, and Fast & Furious.

 3. Then they will downplay whatever the ugly truth is. What difference does it make if Obama is a Muslim, who cares if he lied about where he came from, or even if he is a US citizen or not. All that matters is that Obama gives a thrill up my leg.

Best trade of the year!

This isn't the first time I predicted, that breaking news would move the market precisely.

Twitterlings' should recall another recent prediction I made, that "bad news out of Spain", would be the catalyst for a sell - into a bullish back-test we were looking for - and that's what we got that very morning.

But my most recent - real-time - prediction which led to our best trade of the year, can only be described as uncanny.
The VIX suddenly spiked shortly after, before the news.

Prediction twittered Oct 18th, 2012, 11:27 AM:

4 minutes later:
"Google market cap sinks $20 billion as earnings error sends Wall Street lower" [nj.com]

The selling continued into Friday's options expiration, on the 35th anniversary of the '87 crash.

The $VIX ended the week at 17.06, with the Dow losing over 200 points.

Some have called me the prophet of profits but lets sift though the BS:

I have always been intuitive, but I struggle to explain how I am able to make these kinds of predictions, and I often have to pinch myself and ask which comes first, the chicken or the egg, the chart or the market?

From my own observations: the future is already laid out, and optimally the chart is in sync... All I do is interpret the waves, patterns, trend lines, and of course, market psychology.

The stock market is a complex thing; and many lifetimes have been spent trying to figure it out, but I attribute much of my success to the fact that I question conventional wisdom. I believe all wisdom comes from God. Those who can accept this are light years ahead of the egg heads.

Let's took at the bigger picture:

One of the first things I did when I published this blogger site was to embed a National Debt clock, but it wasn't until 2012 the debt clock became a focal point at the RNC, and even today only 50% of the population see the National Debt as a real political issue. What that means to me is that the majority will choose to learn the hard way, because burying your head in the sand is as much a conscious decision as is confronting an issue head-on is.

Speaking of politics: I pointed out in an earlier blog that this years election is about more than just politics. It's about the future of this country during a critical time in history.

Will we return to the principals on which this nation was founded, or will be continue to follow those who would have you think they are smarted than God.

This was confirmed when the majority in the Democratic party were seen trying to exclude God from their national convention.

Only those of us who have eyes to see and ears to hear have a clue as to what comes next. Future events may be inevitable but we as individuals have a choice to make.

Obama revels the truth behind BenghaziGate Scandal

Benghazigate: The attempted cover-up by the Obama administration of the facts surrounding the recent Islamic terrorist attacks against the U.S. Embassy in Libya which left several Americans dead.

During what turned out to be a heated second presidential debate, between President Barrack Hussein Obama, and Republican nominee Mitt Romney, millions of American's including myself sat down to watch what was expected to be a rather drab town hall style meeting, with a still undecided audience asking their own pre-prepared questions, but towards the end of the debate came a hard ball question concerning the latest in a series of Obama administration scandals (from the funneling of billions in tax payer dollars to corporate special interests, to the funneling of thousands of semi-automatic, and automatic machine guns to Mexican drug lords during operation Fast and Furious) in what is already widely being referred to in social media circles as "Benghazigate".

The debate transcript reads as Follows:

OBAMA: I’m sorry. What’s your name?

QUESTION: It’s Kerry, Kerry Ladka.

OBAMA: Great to see you.

QUESTION: This question actually comes from a brain trust of my friends at Global Telecom Supply (ph) in Minneola yesterday.

OBAMA: Ah.

QUESTION: We were sitting around, talking about Libya, and we were reading and became aware of reports that the State Department refused extra security for our embassy in Benghazi, Libya, prior to the attacks that killed four Americans.

Who was it that denied enhanced security and why?

Obama fails to give a direct answer to the above question, but in the exchange which follows he reveals what the administration knew about the attack at the time it was taking place.

OBAMA: So as soon as we found out that the Benghazi consulate was being overrun, I was on the phone with my national security team...
Up until this time there had been a lot of speculation about who, in the Obama administration, knew what, and when, and while the mainstream media was initially more focused on who actually won tonight's debate, they seemed to miss the elephant in the room. Obama had just contradicted what his Vice President had said about what "we" new, and bold face lied to the American people about the position had taken from the start!

Obama: The day after the attack, governor, I stood in the Rose Garden and I told the American people in the world that we are going to find out exactly what happened. That this was an act of terror, and I also said that we’re going to hunt down those who committed this crime.

CROWLEY: Governor, if you want to…

ROMNEY: Yes, I — I…

CROWLEY: … quickly to this please.

ROMNEY: I — I think it's interesting the president just said something which — which is that on the day after the attack he went into the Rose Garden and said that this was an act of terror.

OBAMA: That’s what I said.

ROMNEY: You said in the Rose Garden the day after the attack, it was an act of terror.

It was not a spontaneous demonstration, is that what you’re saying?
OBAMA: Please proceed governor.

ROMNEY: I want to make sure we get that for the record because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror.

OBAMA: Get the transcript.

Some feel Romney missed a great opportunity to state the obvious, but what more could be said? Obama after weeks of stone-walling, now admits on national television, that he called this a terrorist attack, and treated it as such from the beginning.

At this point, in a bizarre exchange between CNN host Candy Crowley and the candidates, the host takes it upon herself to side with Obama, as applause begins to breaks out.

Crowley apparently fact checking from memory, the President's now infamous Rose Garden speech:

CROWLEY: It - it - it — he did in fact, sir. So let me — let me call it an act of terror…

OBAMA: Can you say that a little louder, Candy?

CROWLEY: He — he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take — it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.

Rather than trusting the fact checkers, or a hired gun to disseminate this sensitive information for you, I challenge you to take a look for your self, at what Obama actually said in the Rose Garden the day after that fateful night in Benghazi. (transcript provided by forectv.com

10:43 A.M. EDT
THE PRESIDENT:  Good morning.  Every day, all across the world, American diplomats and civilians work tirelessly to advance the interests and values of our nation.  Often, they are away from their families.  Sometimes, they brave great danger.
Yesterday, four of these extraordinary Americans were killed in an attack on our diplomatic post in Benghazi.  Among those killed was our Ambassador, Chris Stevens, as well as Foreign Service Officer Sean Smith.  We are still notifying the families of the others who were killed.  And today, the American people stand united in holding the families of the four Americans in our thoughts and in our prayers.
The United States condemns in the strongest terms this outrageous and shocking attack.  We're working with the government of Libya to secure our diplomats.  I've also directed my administration to increase our security at diplomatic posts around the world.  And make no mistake, we will work with the Libyan government to bring to justice the killers who attacked our people.
Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths.  We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.  But there is absolutely no justification to this type of senseless violence.  None.  The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts.
Already, many Libyans have joined us in doing so, and this attack will not break the bonds between the United States and Libya.  Libyan security personnel fought back against the attackers alongside Americans.  Libyans helped some of our diplomats find safety, and they carried Ambassador Stevens’s body to the hospital, where we tragically learned that he had died.
It's especially tragic that Chris Stevens died in Benghazi because it is a city that he helped to save.  At the height of the Libyan revolution, Chris led our diplomatic post in Benghazi.  With characteristic skill, courage, and resolve, he built partnerships with Libyan revolutionaries, and helped them as they planned to build a new Libya.  When the Qaddafi regime came to an end, Chris was there to serve as our ambassador to the new Libya, and he worked tirelessly to support this young democracy, and I think both Secretary Clinton and I relied deeply on his knowledge of the situation on the ground there.  He was a role model to all who worked with him and to the young diplomats who aspire to walk in his footsteps.
Along with his colleagues, Chris died in a country that is still striving to emerge from the recent experience of war. Today, the loss of these four Americans is fresh, but our memories of them linger on.  I have no doubt that their legacy will live on through the work that they did far from our shores and in the hearts of those who love them back home.
Of course, yesterday was already a painful day for our nation as we marked the solemn memory of the 9/11 attacks.  We mourned with the families who were lost on that day.  I visited the graves of troops who made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan at the hallowed grounds of Arlington Cemetery, and had the opportunity to say thank you and visit some of our wounded warriors at Walter Reed.  And then last night, we learned the news of this attack in Benghazi
As Americans, let us never, ever forget that our freedom is only sustained because there are people who are willing to fight for it, to stand up for it, and in some cases, lay down their lives for it.  Our country is only as strong as the character of our people and the service of those both civilian and military who represent us around the globe.
No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for.  Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America.  We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act.  And make no mistake, justice will be done.
But we also know that the lives these Americans led stand in stark contrast to those of their attackers.  These four Americans stood up for freedom and human dignity.  They should give every American great pride in the country that they served, and the hope that our flag represents to people around the globe who also yearn to live in freedom and with dignity.
We grieve with their families, but let us carry on their memory, and let us continue their work of seeking a stronger America and a better world for all of our children.
Thank you.  May God bless the memory of those we lost and may God bless the United States of America.
END
10:48 A.M. EDT

In order to gain an accurate understanding of the subject matter one must read things in context.

Obama simply says they were "killed in an attack", and again reiterates with, "outrageous and shocking attack", and "killers who attacked our people". It sounds like he could be talking about a shark attack at this point, but sharks don't normally attack on dry land.

In the forth paragraph Obama is seen sympathizing with the terrorists, or blaming the infamous video when he says,

"We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others.", as if this act by Al Queda had anything to do with religious difference, or a video."

This is like saying I have a reasonable motive to kill my ex wife, if she sends me a video of her having sex with the pool boy.

This is exactly what Romney immediately, and correctly, criticized the Obama administration for. Muslim sympathies and apologies, to whomever may have been offended.

It isn't until the subject turns to 9/11 all the way down the page, where he mentions the word "terror", in a very general way. Does the Main Stream media think we're all idtios, or is it only the undecideds they hope to deceive?

Obama knew the attack in Benghazi was a terrorist attack on 9/11, yet he and his administration chose to mislead the American people, and the U.N., for 14 days after the attack.

Now that's it's on the record, hopefully the committee in charge of investigating this administrations actions, take action, by Impeaching, and/or Jailing any who is involved in this cover-up.

Make a Commitment to Quit Smoking this Nov. 15th, 2012

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.:

CALL TO ACTION - QUIT SMOKING

Chicago, Illinois
Anthony Allyn owner of 3Xtraders.com urges bipartisan support this November for the 37th annual Great American Smokeout.

Just in time for the Great American Smokeout Nov. 15th, 2012.

"Whether you're a Tea Party member, or a member of the Occupy Wall Street movement; I think we can all agree that smoking is unhealthy."

3Xtraders.com - a website devoted to providing technical analysis to day traders - calls on every American to rally behind this cause.

"As a market timer, I'm all too familiar with the stress relief smoking provides, but I'm determined to quit time. This isn't my fist time quitting, so I know for the first 2 weeks I'm going to be crawling the walls. Quitting isn't fun, but neither is paying through the nose for smokes, being restricted to smoking outside in the winter, and hacking my lungs out in the cold air, not to mention the joy a lung infection can bring..."

Cigarette smoking causes an estimated 443,000 deaths each year, including approximately 49,400 deaths due to exposure to second hand smoke, but predictably, as the number of smokers continues to decline, as Forbes recently reported in their 2012 article, entitles, "Obesity Now Costs Americans More In HealthCare Spending Than Smoking", "...obesity in America is now adding an astounding $190 billion to the annual national healthcare price tag."

"How predictable is this! As more of us give up smoking we turn to food for comfort."

Quick fixes like tobacco, and over indulgence in alcohol and food, not only take a toll on our physical health, but on our financial, and spiritual health as well. It doesn't take an accountant to figure out that smoking is a waste of time and money, but destructive habits are a distraction from every positive pursuit in ones life, and serves as a negative influence to our children.

"Quit Smoking yes, but also make a commitment to yourself, to eat right, and pursue a more active and healthier lifestyle!"

Tea Party to stage an intervention on behalf of Uncle Sam's dangerous spending addiction

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE.:

TEA PARTY CALL TO ACTION:

Chicago Illinois, October 7th, 2012
Anthony Allyn owner of 3Xtraders.com urges the Tea Party to stage an intervention on behalf of Uncle Sam's dangerous spending addiction, by rallying behind the 37th annual Great American Smokeout, the November, 15, 2012, more...

According to "Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau FY2013" (Presidents Budget Submission) $23.1 billion in annual excise (hidden) tax revenues are expected through the sale of Alcohol, and Tobacco in 2013. In addition, in order to "Maintain Current Levels: Funds are requested for inflation adjustments (1.7 percent) in non-labor expenses such as GSA rent adjustments, postage, supplies and equipment and health benefits and the increase in Federal Employees Retirement System participation. Funds are also requested for the proposed 2013 pay raise (0.5 percent)."

Tea Party members who continue to smoke and booze it up are:

1. Wasting time and money, which can no doubt, be otherwise better spent.

2.  Setting a poor example to our children.

3. Helping to subsidize big government.

"Make a commitment to try to quit smoking, and indulging in hard liquor on Nov 15th! Even if you only persist in your efforts for one day, that's one step towards personal empowerment, and an effective form of peaceful and effective protest"

"It's up to us to carry the torch and set an example by refusing to support bad habits."

elliottwavehound.com is getting a new name

3Xtraders.com

Trading 3X ETFs' for maximum gains

details to follow

3Xtraders.com better describes , what we do, and doesn't leaving folks wondering, "what is an Elliott Wave Hound?" How many folks have google searched, "3X ETF trades", yet it never occurred to anyone to buy the domain3Xtraders.com? When I found the domain was free, I got so exited I bought 3Xetftraders.com as well.

In 2012 I did what I felt I had to do - build elliottwavehound.com - upon request of a handful of blog followers, but I went overboard. There were some who tried to tell me this at the time, but I'm not a web builder, excellent domains names take time to come up with, and time was of the essence. When starting from scratch, there are no mistakes, only learning experiences, and in only a little over 2 years I've learned a lot. I believe everything happens for a reason, and that we're right where we're supposed to be.

If our next project 3Xtraders.com, becomes even more successful than the last, and I'm confident that it will, there's always room to grow, but that's up to the members, and a power greater than myself.

Much has changed in the past 2 years; many traders have left this market, and many more simply can't afford $99 per month for charting. I have received many positive comments and emails from those who appreciate the quality of the charting, but simply can't afford it, and I have good news for you.

For only $19.95 a month, you can gain access to my daily forecast each morning, and access the best charts on the internet. At that rate I would need 200 members just to pay the bills, so I've also created Silver, and Gold membership categories for those who are willing to pay a little more in order to access premium content. See details at signup.

Update Wed 9/19/2012: To say I've been busy... would be an understatement. Upon returning from a long weekend taking care of my dying brother (who's in hospice with cancer), we had a major hardware malfunction first thing Monday morning, which corrupted the windows install on computer #1, leaving me with only one monitor.

In case you've never had 3 monitors, I assure you that once you do you'll never go back. going from 3 monitors to 1 with the opening bell 30 minutes away, on a Monday morning, is kind of like your running late for work, and to your surprise and amazement the inside of the windows on your car have iced-up over night... so you end up pulling out of your driveway peering out the little spot on your windshield where you managed to scrape some of the ice off with your fingernails, praying for the defrost to kick before the moisture from your breath starts freezing, and praying that you don't run over the neighbors dog on way out of the driveway. Luckily we didn't hit any speed bumps...

Fortunately I had the foresight to clone a fresh hard drive the last time I rebuilt computer #1, and I was able to access/save some of my valuable files from the drive that was corrupted. As it turned out my backup software was not configured as well as thought.
The new video card arrived Tuesday evening, and today the new hardware was running tip top. If need be I can run 6 monitors off computer #1, or play Call of Duty Black Ops, or even Crysis 2, on max setting, when the market is consolidating sideways.

And the "Explosive Summer rally" continues

Now that the EW count in the 1st video has been confirmed - trading up into a wave 3 - I've removed the second Video.

After adding to our shorts last week we got out with a small profit on Wednesday's dip. I see a sector rotation, as predicted last month

EWH members who have stuck around and continue to return "get it". If you get it, it would do you good to not be left waiting for the next video update, to confirm the trade you should have made last night, or last month.

Nobody is born with patience. It takes a certain maturity level to be able to separate your emotions from your trade (trusting the charts). If you think you have what it takes, and you understand gains aren't measured in days, then I encourage you to sign up at elliottwavehound.com. Ex members may even sign up at the new member rate - a 20% discount off your first month.

Trading Candlesticks Triangles Numberology

I'm up early this morning doing some candle stick analysis - coffee is still brewing. Broken sleep has become the norm, but you gotta "make hay while the sun shines", as they say.

There are some obvious forces guiding this market including OPEX (options expiration), 3rd quarter window dressing, and typically low summer volume, but I want to focus on some less obvious technical indicators.

As an Elliottician I don't normally follow candle stick patterns, but if I find something that can help give me an edge over this market - like doji reversals - I'll add it to my bag of tricks.

Astrological events, and biblical numerology, sometimes come into play, because many of the biggest players on wall street consult astrologers and spiritualists for advise. Due to my upbringing I have some experience with the occult, but to be clear I don't practice black arts; I'm only a trained observer.

Picking exact tops is obviously more difficult, and more frustrating than picking bottoms, but not impossible. My twitter followers may remember last year when I called the end of a powerful market rally to the exact day, by marking the 50th candle in the uptrend. 50 is a number which represents power and celebration, and capitulation is always a good place to sell. After the pullback the market did continue to rally... trading right into a devastating topping formation.

Regarding yesterdays (8/14/2012) trade: After trading flat for 7 days, only to see a reversal where many were expecting a breakout, is bearish and the Evening Doji Star confirms it. 7 is the number for divine perfection and often completes a trend. This adds weight to the prediction in my mind, as I tweeted -

I don't claim to be an expert when it comes to candlestick patterns, but thankfully I have an advantage when doing internet research - after paying my dues working for the chacha.com answer service - and so it doesn't take me very long to find what I'm looking for - in this case a valid candlestick pattern for the current trade.

What I found is a well known candlestick formation called the "scoop pattern". The scoop pattern occurs after a period of flat consolidation is followed by a dip, which sets up for a double top, or a break out, as seen in the chart below.

There's more than one way to skin a cat, and from an Elliott Wave standpoint the same thing may be achieved:

1. By rallying out of the scoop into a near double top in wave 2.

2. By continuing to consolidate in a rare triangle which ends with waves F & G. Although I don't believe I've ever seen one of these, I do remember seeing it documented somewhere.

To rap things up here. Trading into a topping formation, on summer volume takes a lot of patience.
The '07 - '08 top took nearly a year to complete, before we saw much in the way of volatility, and then most traders were shaken out in a brief rally which immediately preceded the crash of '08. Unless you can stick to your guns, and trust the charts, you don't have a chance in hell catching the big moves.

Proof in point the gold trade revealed in my latest video:

The doji reversal confirmed the reversal into wave "E":

I suppose this is where I'm supposed to tell folks to join elliottwavehound.com, for the best charts on the internet, but you're probably better off waiting until September when trading picks up.
