Movie Massacre Exposes Media Bias

I don't normally blog on the weekend, but the ongoing media circus surrounding the recent mass murder, at a movie theater in Aurora, CO., is unavoidable, and bothersome.

My prayers go out to the victims, and those who are left to deal with the aftermath... but I'm sickened by a national press corp, who would sensationalize this tragedy in order to push their anti-2nd amendment agenda. "Never let a crisis go to waste", as they say.

Over the past 2 decades, responsible reporting, has gradually been replaced by sensationalism, agenda, and compromise, so it was no surprise when ABC news immediately suspected a "tea party member", in the killings. This is such a ridiculous assumption, and so politically biased, I have nothing more to say about ABC news.

Gun control is a divisive topic being pushed by an increasingly divisive liberal press, at a time when we should all be coming together. This point was made by Denver law professor David Kopel, a guest on CNN's Piers Morgan show which aired July, 20, 2012, but he was quickly cut off, by an unusually animated, and emotional, Piers Morgan, who continued on with his anti-gun crusade.

But the most disturbing part of Friday's program was an earlier segment in which, an unmarried couple from New Mexico, who had taken their 2 young children to this violent movie, appeared live in the studio!

Once they finished describing their terrifying experience, Piers asked the couple why they would take a 4 month old baby and a 4 year old toddler, to a violent movie rated PG-13 (for violence), but when they stumbled for answers, he quickly changed the subject, giving these young parents a free pass. Piers could have use this opportunity to raise the issue of parental responsibility, and glorified violence in Hollywood, and society at large, but it was quite obvious at the time, that this poor couple was still in shock, and only there to be exploited, in order to push CNNs political agenda. Shame on you CNN!

What to say about Piers Morgan:
According to Wikipedia: Piers Stefan Pughe-Morgan (born Piers Stefan O'Meara; 30 March 1965), known professionally as Piers Morgan, is a British journalist and television presenter.

I think Piers is a very bright fellow, and fair on most issues, but not when it comes to the so called "gun control" issue. I suppose gun regulation sounds too oppressive, but let's call it what it is.

As I tweeted on Friday: "..if Piers would rather go toe to toe with a maniac, unarmed, that's his choice", but trying to keep guns out of the hands of criminals is as much a failed policy, as the war on drugs is. Piers says he's all for home defense, but seemed outraged that anyone could legally acquire several guns, and several thousand rounds of ammunition.

Look, my ancestors fled Europe, because we were fed up with oppressive government, which dictates what's right, or wrong, for the rest of us, and if I'm ever forced to protect myself from a maniac (or 2), on a murderous rampage, armed with AR-15 semi-automatic riffles & 6000 rounds of ammo, I would prefer to be able to protect my family unfettered

When the experts come on CNN, calling an AR-15 a "machine gun", and classifying it as an "assault rifle" - a term invented by the ignorant anti-2nd amendment crowd - it's pretty clear your so called "experts", are only experts in the art of deception.

Calling an AR-15 an assault rifle doesn't make it any more dangerous than any other rifle, but you prefer to use scary terms designed to confuse, and frighten the general public into submission, and anyone who is smart enough to check you out your facts knows it's the truth.

Speaking of facts - I can think of at least 3 important facts the liberal media has failed to report:

 1. Columbine, CO, is just 30 min across town from Aurora, Co (the location of another recent mass murder). Both are suburbs of Metropolitan Denver, Co., and this points to a "copycat".

2. The killer, attended a very well respected, "liberal collage", in a very "liberal" town.

Liberal teachers are not only filling young peoples minds with the idea that good and evil are only relative terms, but they also continue to push curriculum that paints each individual as a victim of society; and at the logical extreme lies the individual who feels like a victim, and who may take out his rage on society at large.

3. In 2005, became the first major city in the U.S. to make the private possession of less than an ounce of marijuana legal for adults 21 and older.

Has the local government's loosening of marijuana laws, fostered a slippery moral slope, where personal, and social responsibility is even further diminished?

A free society only works as long as each individual will police his own behavior. The law can deal with a minority of individuals who choose not to, but you can't police an entire society without creating a prison state. Fly straight or lose your freedom.

Of course in order to fly straight you need a compass, but leftist ideology argues that religion is a delusion, God is a fairytale, and to believe in fairy tales is silly. This is old thinking they'll say. "all religions are equal, so practice toleration instead of the religion of your backwards thinking ancestors, who continue to "cling to their religion and guns " (quoting our president). I've been around enough internet chat boards to know, this is the liberal Troll's bread an butter, but few parents are even aware that their children's minds are being poisoned right under their own noses... in the schools, on the internet, and on television.

Ultimately the motive for murder is evil:
The occasional guest may come on national news, and refer to this incident as a "murder", and identify the act as "evil", while the media is very careful to identify the killer as the "shooter", and the event itself as a"shooting". If you doubt this it's as easy as google searching, "theater aurora co". NPR (national public radio) calls it a "mass shooting"; removing blame from the murderer, and placing blame on the gun, while at the same time sensationalizing it, for political gain. Look, guns shoot, people commit murder, and the motive for murder is Evil.

This continued trend of taking the focus off personal responsibility, and placing the focus on inanimate household items, while blaming society at large, is inherent in much of the mindless violence we're seeing in modern society today, and as long as the liberal left continues to control our school system, and the media, this trend is likely to continue.

A gun is not much different than any other tool, which may be used for good or for evil. You can fry eggs in a frying pan or murder your husband with one, but I don't hear anyone calling for a ban on cast iron cookware, or "pan control", and I'm sure that if this murderous act had been achieved by driving a truck into a crowd of harmless moviegoers, there would be no media circus.

Prepare for Anarchy in the U.S.A. - in progress

Image courtesy of Don't Tread On Me

I predicted the civil unrest we're seeing around the world - only a couple years ago - and I see no reason why this trend shouldn't continue into the near term future. If there are riots in Great Britain there's no reason we can't see the same thing here.

I warned of the food shortages we've already seen in some parts of the world - due to the $USD (the worlds reserve currency) devaluation, and the global drought is only going to compound the situation.

I got news for you it's already happening:

"Food crisis looms as importers sit out grain price highs" [Reuters]

If this weren't bad enough; the deceptively named Fed (not a federal agency) continues it's reckless inflation policy, destroying the $USD, with no regard to energy or food inflation, creating a dangerous situation in which we they may actually be making things worse, by creating a  hyper inflationary depression. Think $100 bread

But lets say you don't believe any of the above can happen, or you're in denial... Do you believe WWII was the war to end all wars? It was actually WWI, which was dubbed "the war to end all wars", but then it obviously wasn't... and today China and Russia both continue to warn the U.S. over our mounting debt, with Russia going so far as to call us a "parasite on the global economy". There are also terrorist states who continue to target us, and it's only a matter of time before one of them detonates a nuclear device in a major US city, and New York seems to be their preferred target. What happens to the US economy if the financial capital of the world, New York City, is destroyed in 1 day?

Maybe you're afraid what your family friends and neighbors will think when word gets out that you've finally lost it and become a full blown "survivalist". Just tell them, "they called Noah crazy too". The idea of survival is thousands of years old, so ignore those who cant seem to get their head wrapped around the idea... it's you're responsibility to protect yourself and who ever lives under your roof, and if you're able to lend a helping hand to anyone else God bless you!

It's hard to imagine what nationwide anarchy might look like, but I believe those who live in major cities are most at risk, if supply lines are cut off, and riots ensue. If people will burn their own neighborhoods down, because of a court ruling against a criminal like Rodney King, just imagine what will happen when basic necessities like food are cut off.

By examining what took place in the City of New Orleans, soon after Katrina knocked out supply lines, we get a glimpse of what we can expect.
  1. Even though there was a contingency plan in place, much of it was not implemented, due to many unforeseen circumstances...government just isn't that good at micromanaging disasters.
  2. Many local police either abandoned their post - to protect their own family (the smart ones) - while others barricaded themselves in the police station.
  3. Criminal gangs took control of so called "safe havens" like the Louisiana Superdome.
  4. The criminal element also looted stores and invaded homes - some in search of weapons.
  5. Once it was finally deemed "safe enough", to send the National Guard in, the first thing they did was go home to home collecting law abiding residents firearms.
  6. Help was slow to arrive for those who decided to wait, and many died waiting...
There is a lot we can learn from the above situation, and I believe a little preparation could go a long way, although it is hard to anticipate every  unknown circumstance. I'm going to start with the obvious and continue to add to this list as I see the day approaching. If it never happens all the better, but I won't be the one who's left waiting for someone else to save my family.

  1.  If you live in the city I think priority #1 should be to have a safe place - outside the city -  you can go to, and I do. If you don't; consider buying a cabin, or 40 acres with a trailer on it. Reconnect with your aunt Betty who lives in Bird City, Kansas. Country folk didn't fair as poorly as those in the city did during the great depression of the 1930's.
  2. Have an emergency plan in place. In the heat of the moment, you're first instinct may be to panic, but by freeing up your thought process you may be better prepared to take care of the business at hand, and you won't leave anything important behind. Don't lose the Emergency plan! Keep it with a grab bag filled with some of the necessary items you plan to take with you.
  3. Make sure your car is in good running order. It's fair to say gasoline will run out if people are fleeing the city, so make a habit of topping off your tank when it gets down to 1/2, so you can at least make it out of the city. Many vehicle dealers offer an optional second gas tank, and an SUV with a spare tire rack may be adapted to accept fuel containers, but use some common sense when handling gasoline, as common sense seems to be more and more in short supply these days.

 4. Cash Money. Everyone should have some emergency cash on hand and be sure email me your address with the exact location of your hiding place. But seriously, ATM's are likely to be emptied quickly, and you have more important things to do than wait in line... Avoid lines like the plague. Remember the Walmart trampling over sale prices? Are you willing to take a bullet for the last loaf of bread? It may not be a bad idea to carry some silver and/or gold coinage in case you encounter a situation in which US currency isn't accepted.
